Statement of Purpose

The purpose of the Zaltho Foundation is to promote peace and nonviolence in and among individuals, families, societies and countries. It supports all efforts to attain this goal through whatever peaceful and non-violent means are available.

To that end, the Zaltho Foundation supports individuals, groups and other not-for-profit corporations in specific projects or activities which educate, inform or awaken people to the possibilities of a peaceful, nonviolent life in the here and now. It also supports any activities which educate people in methods for the nonviolent and peaceful transformation of conflict, negativity, ignorance, hatred and greed into harmony, compassion and loving kindness, understanding and generosity.

The Zaltho Foundation is a non-political corporation. To that end, it does not support activities in the political sphere, such as lobbying governments for passage of legislation, referenda for public vote, or candidates in political office.

The Zaltho Foundation may also engage in any activity in which it is permitted to engage under Massachusetts General Laws, ch. 180 and under the United States Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3), as presently in form and as they may be revised.
