A few words about the Financial Conditions of the Zaltho Foundation:

The Zaltho Foundation is supported by voluntary contributions only. It is not writing grants and does not receive any financial support from other organizations. The work of the Zaltho Foundation is entirely based on the practice of the Buddha's teaching of the DANA PARAMITA. As a result of this teaching and Claude AnShin's vows as a mendicant monk. Zaltho or Claude AnShin also do not receive any honorariums. Teachings and support are given for free. People are however, invited to practice generosity through voluntary contributions.

The Foundations current financial situation:

Each month the Zaltho Foundation, Inc. has fixed expenses of $1,660.00 that must be met. These fixed expenses are relevant to the support of the Magnolia Zen Center which is the major practice and study center of the Zaltho Foundation. These fixed costs include mortgage payments, insurance, and taxes. There are some people who have committed to supporting this center on a monthly basis. These donations amount to $150.00 so in addition to these fixed monthly donations there needs to be additional financial donations totaling $1,500.00. While this may seem like a large sum of money when one considers the entirety of the center which consists of 2 houses, a Zendo, and the land and what is offered here, the actual sum is fairly small. I hope that AnShin, the Zaltho Foundation and I are allowed to continue serving Buddha, Dharma and Sangha with this place at the center.

Thank you to everyone who felt drawn to offer financial support and the resources of time and energy to let us continue and your generous support continues to be needed!
